Interior & Exterior Painting in Aurora & Denver
A paint job is only as good as the prep beneath it. BDT Construction delivers interior and exterior painting across the Denver metro with the surface preparation, quality materials, and clean lines that make the finish look sharp on day one and hold up for years under Colorado's intense sun.
Painting in the Denver metro
Prep is the whole game. We fill and sand, caulk gaps, prime bare and patched surfaces, repair minor drywall and trim damage, and mask thoroughly before any color goes on. Paint applied over a properly prepped surface bonds, covers evenly, and lasts; paint sprayed over a dirty or unprepped surface peels and disappoints. We don't skip the unglamorous part.
Interior painting covers walls, ceilings, trim, doors, cabinets, and accent work. We protect floors and furnishings, contain dust, cut crisp lines at the ceiling and trim, and leave the space clean. Whether it's a single refreshed room, a whole-home repaint, or finish painting as part of a larger remodel, the standard is the same: even coverage and clean edges.
Exterior painting in Colorado is a different challenge. High-altitude UV is brutal on finishes, and the dry climate plus freeze-thaw cycles punish anything not properly prepped and sealed. We pressure-wash, scrape and sand failing areas, prime bare wood and stucco, caulk and seal, and use exterior-grade coatings rated for our conditions — so the finish protects the building, not just decorates it.
Color is part of the service. We help you choose palettes that suit the home and the light, sample before committing, and get the sheen right for each surface — flat and matte hide imperfections, satin and semi-gloss stand up to cleaning and moisture in kitchens, baths, and trim.
Painting frequently caps off our remodeling projects, and doing it in-house means the finish coordinates with everything else and the timing lines up. You get a clean, durable, professionally applied result and a crew that respects your home while it's there.

Painting FAQ
Straight answers to what Denver-metro homeowners ask us about this service.
How often should I repaint my home's exterior in Colorado?
Colorado's high-altitude UV and freeze-thaw cycles are hard on exterior finishes, so most homes need repainting every 5–8 years — sooner on sun-facing elevations. Quality coatings and proper prep extend that significantly, which is why we never cut corners on washing, scraping, and sealing.
Do you prep walls before painting, or just paint over them?
We always prep. That means filling and sanding, caulking, repairing minor damage, priming bare and patched areas, and masking. Prep is what makes paint bond and last — painting over an unprepped surface is the single most common reason a paint job fails early.
Can you paint as part of a larger remodel?
Yes, and it's ideal. When we handle the painting in-house as part of a remodel, the finish coordinates with the rest of the work and the schedule lines up cleanly — no waiting on an outside crew to close out your project.
